PROJECT → Tamaran

Tamaran (Sugoi TKG Tamaran) is a restaurant in Nagoya, Japan, specializing in TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan), a dish of raw egg mixed with rice. The objective of this project is to build a cohesive visual identity system for Tamaran that can be applied consistently across digital and physical touchpoints. Currently, Tamaran lacks a unified visual presence across its social media channels and physical store.

To begin the design process, I drew inspiration from the noren (fabric divider) hanging at the store’s entrance. Its blue fabric and white sans-serif typeface became the foundation of the identity system. I also elevated the small chicken hatchling icon found on their menu, using it as a recurring motif throughout the designs.

The result is a cohesive set of marketing materials that can be used across their social media and in-store touchpoints.
